Difficult Weekend

Not to bum anyone out, but I am seriously having a rough weekend. I woke up twice on Friday night with scalp pain and had two panic attacks that I would wake up in the morning and my remaining hair would be left on my pillow. Well, i am definitely continuing to shed hair every day but i still have most of it. Last night, I woke up every hour and had a real challenge sleeping. Most of the weekend, I have been feeling pretty crappy, low energy, leg pain, nausea, indigestion, constipation... i can't believe how many drugs I am taking for all this stuff. I am typically someone who tries to skip taking advil when I have a headache because I don't like taking stuff. I don't have much else to report other than I hope tomorrow is much better.

  1. Hi Mo,
I follow you religiusly since I've been there and I want to give you some of my good advise and insperation.
Do not worry about the hair it will fall and you will wear hats or a wig eventually and there is nothing wrong with it.
I had some beautifull wigs two of them and will never forget one of Joey's friends telling me what a beautifull hair I have while wearing the wigs I choose nice stright hair for myself.
The not feeling like yourself will pass after the weekend it is only the first few days after cemo that you feel bed it gets better once you start passing it through your system.
Remeber you do not have to be a hero you will bounce back after the treatments.
    Love Avi

  2. Hey Maureen, that sounds very brutal. I know what you mean about the drugs, I hate taking them as well as well, but the ones you have listed helped Kath's aunt who is in her 80s get through her fight with cancer as well!

Perhaps a little drug levity to bring a cheer :)
